The notable lawsuit with Richmond American Homes was for Kitec Plumbing. They paid $27M into the settlement fund in 2009. At the time, most builders were unaware that they used the defective products. Homes built around 2000 that have Kitec are marked in the circuit breaker box. Using a recirculation pump contributed to the problem. We had turned ours off and had no problems. Beware of people who were paid money and didn’t have the work done.
