As you can see in the picture above, Del Webb at Lake Las Vegas homes are on the far side. Note that the land to the right of Del Webb at Lake Las Vegas is still undeveloped. My guess is that Del Webb will buy it soon to expand this luxurious development.
The Lake Las Vegas development is 3,592 acres, including the man-made, water-level-regulated lake. Minutes from Lake Mead, Lake Las Vegas includes a Bear’s Best Golf Course, elegant resorts with hotels and casinos, and shopping/dining.
Located in a valley surrounded by picturesque mountains, most houses have a view of mountains, golf, or water. There are walking trails, parks, and community centers at Lake Las Vegas. The land surrounding commercial establishments is densely populated with homes.

🏞️ Is Lake Las Vegas Still Open?
Yes, Lake Las Vegas is still open and growing. There are two championship golf courses, 2 hotel and resorts with gaming and dining, and the village. Some stores are closed in the village, but the restaurants are open, the ice cream store is fat and happy, and the golf cart store and market are thriving. You can rent various water sports equipment at the market and enjoy the water. BTW: Water in the lake is filled with Henderson Municipal Water as the Las Vegas Wash runs under the lake.

Since Del Webb Lake Las Vegas opened in 2020, there are new and resale homes with a variety of views. You can see the lake from some homes, but there are also deep canyons, parks, and the beautiful mountains as views. Resale homes are worth seeing and if you don’t see what you’re looking for, we look at the remaining new construction.
Del Webb is offering large discounts on upgrades, so if you want a loaded home, new construction may be the way to go. There are several affordable 55+ communities in Las Vegas that come to mind. There are a few mobile home and condominium developments with a community center and social calendar. As far as active-adult homes designed for aging in place, I’d look at Del Webb Summerlin where there are some fixer-uppers, Del Webb North a smaller no-frills neighborhood, and Del Webb Aliante. There is an affordable golf guard-gated neighborhood called Los Prados. Be sure to check them out and call or text us for a showing or more information.
📍 What Is The Best 55+ Community In Las Vegas?
The best 55+ community in Las Vegas is different for everyone. If you golf, Sun City Summerlin has 3 golf courses and 4 community centers to choose from. If you want a lake, Lake Las Vegas is upscale and nice. Guard-Gated and new, consider Trilogy at Sunstone. Golf and guard-gated is Siena in Summerlin. My favorite 55+ community in Las Vegas is Regency. Regency is in Summerlin South and has luxury homes built by Toll Brothers. It’s guard-gated and has an upscale community center. Del Webb at Lake Las Vegas and almost every builder in the LV valley pay for you to have buyer representation. You must go to any of their housing tracts with your Realtor on the first visit, or you lose this valuable benefit.

There are 3 brand new 55+ home communities currently under construction. You can order a home to be built the way you want. Houses take from 6 to 12 months to complete. If you are considering a brand new home, please read my New Construction Blogs before you buy. (also below) 
Typically, in Nevada, both New Construction Home Builders and Resale Home Sellers pay for you to have Buyer Representation. We help you locate your home, write the contract, and share our 30+ years of selling new homes information.
Additionally, I monitor the construction of your home every week as it’s being built. As a former Nevada Building Engineer (PE, CE), my skills can be invaluable to you.
As part of my service for you, if you are out of state, I send you pictures and videos every 7-10 days. I also do your framing walk-through for you or with you. Consider me your offensive and defensive coordinator combined.
When your home is complete, I gift you with a New Construction Home Inspection. All of your systems are tested, as well as the attic and roof. Windows are tested to verify the low-e glass orientation. An infrared heat gun is used on every wall, ceiling, and doorway. Consequently, when you are looking at resale homes, I don’t operate the way other Realtors do. As you look at a home to see if it works for you, I look at the windows, walls, ceilings, flooring, and doorways for signs of possible red flags and issues.
Outside, I look for water discoloration on the rocks to identify drainage issues. Every resale home still needs a professional home inspection; however, I point out things that may be a problem, so that your eyes are wide open before writing an offer.
