Within the entire area of Anthem, a short drive from Anthem Country Club, you’ll find walls made of large black boulders and caliche (clay/rock expansive soil). Both are native to the Las Vegas and Henderson Valley and are used frequently within Anthem Country Club hardscaping. Therefore, it was surprising that the community included a floor plan with a basement. That room is fabulous, and residents are thankful that the soil in the area allowed basements and swimming pools to be built.
Anthem Country Club clubhouse and golf community is everything you want your private club to be—classic, elegant, and beneficial for the neighborhood. In 2022, the golf course was closed for a few months to remove sod in support of Las Vegas’s water conservation goals. Removing the grass and replacing it with more water-friendly grass and landscaping makes the terrain more interesting, in my opinion. What’s yours?
