Newport Lofts Las Vegas condominiums for sale first came on the market in 2006 in the heyday of “if you buy it it will go up in value.” At that time, every house, high-rise, loft, and condo for sale were purchased very quickly. High rise developments hadn’t started their boom yet.

The first modern mid to high rise condominium building of its kind downtown, Newport Lofts was being watched. Shortly after their first sales, 5 more high rise and mid-rise loft and condominium developments started construction near by. They weren’t all as fortunate in their timing and many went bankrupt when the recession hit.

Newport Lofts has fabulous views looking over both Downtown and the Las Vegas Strip. Residents enjoy the convenience of an area that takes advantage of downtown living while maintaining high levels of luxury and security.

After the boom on the Las Vegas Strip in the 1990s, Downtown needed to re-brand itself to keep up. Besides the Fremont Street Experience opening, Main Street was beautified. Located near the Clark County Offices and the Premium Outlet Mall, the Arts District now thrives.

Revitalizing Downtown Near Newport Lofts

New businesses and mixed-use urban loft and condominium buildings have been built. Newport Lofts Las Vegas has added a lot towards making Downtown a great place to live again. Main Street has seen antique stores, trendy eateries, retail and art museums, and art stores open in the past few years.

The Arts District is good for the community. During the Corona Pandemic, businesses closed and boarded up the windows when the governor ordered non-essential businesses to close for 2-4 weeks. The ReBar bar asked local artists to paint the plywood and it will be auctioned off with proceeds going to victims of the crisis.

Access From Project Neon

Nevada Department of Transportation’s Project Neon began in 2016 and was completed at the end of 2019. With a cost of approx. 1 Billion dollars, Project Neon was the largest public works project ever done in Southern Nevada. Over 4000 jobs resulted from the project, the freeway was widened and access to downtown became a maze with many options.

I-15 between Sahara and Downtown Las Vegas is the busiest stretch of highway in Nevada. Over 300,000 vehicles each day or one-tenth of the state population travel the freeway section. That section had an average of 25,000 lane changes an hour in 2015. Traffic through the corridor is expected to double by 2035.

Part of Project Neon provided convenient access to the Arts District and Downtown Las Vegas. A side benefit was enhancing the master plan to revitalize the area.

Newport Lofts was a large part of the plan due to its Legas and Arts District location. Attracting quality employment, other than from the legal business and courts, has also been a big success to the area.
