North Las Vegas, Nevada

areas of town living in north las vegas valley areas homes and houses

North Las Vegas, Nevada, homes for sale have earned the honor of being the most affordable housing in the Las Vegas Valley. As a result, North Las Vegas is the fastest-growing city in Nevada. With approximately 250,000 residents, N. Las Vegas (AKA NLV) will soon pass Reno as Nevada’s third-largest city. There are a few pros and cons of living in North Las Vegas. Some pros and cons would be:

  •  The price of homes for sale per square foot
  • Energy efficient state-of-the-art new homes for sale with hundreds of floorpans
  • Diversified area with history and state parks
  • Near many places of employment
  • Stores, businesses, medical facilities, and schools are new and respected

Cons-It’s further from the Reid International airport and California

  • The crime rate in high in parts of North Las Vegas.
  • There is more rain at the base of the Sheep Mountains (possibly a Pro not a con)

I think it’s important to know about a community where you are thinking of living. I’ll start with housing information and move to the city’s history, employment, and energy efficient homes for sale. There are home searches by price at the top, middle and bottom of the page.

I engineered some of the first houses in Eldorado and many custom homes in North Las Vegas in the 1980’s. That was the start of the North Las Vegas housing boom. By the 1990s it was normal to get lost going to a development. Construction was starting everywhere that I’d have to follow billboards to find a community even a month later.

Sorry we are experiencing system issues. Please try again.
