Queensridge Las Vegas homes for sale are located in a guard-gated community of luxury homes. Beautiful neighborhoods. built by 4 different prominent Las Vegas Luxury Home Builders surrounded the Badlands Golf Course. Besides single-family tract homes, custom home lots backing to the golf course were sold.

The original builders were Christopher Homes, Trophy Homes, Pulte Homes, and Warmington. More homes were later added around the perimeter. A condominium development was added along Charleston Blvd. as well as the beautiful One Queensridge Place high-rise condominium towers.

Houses range from 1600 square feet to over 17,000 square feet. Asking prices for homes for sale in Queensridge range from the $400,000s to $16M.

Queensridge first opened in 1998. Its charm, style, and 2 gorgeous copper-green horse statues at the entrance made it an instant “got to see” community. The location siding to Summerlin on the west and Badlands Golf Course on the north was perfect. Guards in uniforms with wide-brimmed Canadian Mounty style hats created prestige.

Residents loved the badlands golf course. Events were held at the clubhouse. Within 6 years, all 800 acres were developed with 987 homes and 4 entrances. Custom home lots now host beautiful private, luxury residences, some with tennis courts.

The Queensridge Community Center

The Queensridge community center is functional as well as fun, classy, and cozy. Accented with wood and a two-sided fireplace to separate groups, there’s an old-world charm and a warm atmosphere inside. All Queensridge residents are welcome to reserve the space for their events.

You’ll find a swimming pool, tennis courts, fitness center with exercise facilities, and a meeting area within the luxury community. The community swimming pool is an extremely popular summer location. Kids and families meet friends and neighbors to help beat the summer heat.

Exercise is a key use of the community center as well as social events. Walking trails wind throughout the community’s spectacular landscaping.

Queensridge Golf Course Luxury Homes

luxury homes on dead gold courseUnfortunately, the Badlands Golf Course’s owners decided to sell. The new owners decided to build homes on this extremely valuable land. Homeowners within the community were not happy. Some being extremely wealthy joined forces and the court battle began.

Eventually, in 2019 the Nevada Supreme Court ruled in favor of the new landowner. As you can see in the picture, there are brown golf course link shapes showing the community’s current condition with dead grass.

In 2022, the golf course remains dead with no homes. Around the perimeter, trees died and were cut, leaving 2-foot tall stumps. No one is happy with the new dead look despite Queensridge being a very nice community.

Gated Streets within the Gated Community

Queensridge Guard gated Summerlin community dead golf courseThe luxury custom homes in Queensridge are owned by professional athletes and Las Vegas Elite. My daughter’s friend lived within the gated community, on a gated street, and in a gated estate backing to the golf course.

Since plot maps and home design plans for the golf course redevelopment are not public knowledge yet, home prices are lower. Development is halted possibly because of the lawsuits going on between the city and the developer. Those may settle in many years or in many months.

Being a guard gated community with additional gated streets and gated homes, home values should be sky-high. Houses for sale in Queensridge Las Vegas that back to the dead golf course, are negotiable and a great value. Those houses are in limbo.

The lesson learned the hard way? When buying a home on a golf course, if the golf course is not owned by the homeowners, look elsewhere. There is no guarantee of longevity. If you want a luxury home on a golf course, let’s look at golf courses owned by the community. My father’s community just bought their golf course. Smart.

Queensridge is conveniently located across a main street from Summerlin. Faith Lutheran High School is close. Residents enjoy the proximity to Summerlin’s amenities without the association fees. There are 3 hotels with casinos within 3-4 traffic signals.

Visit the Suncoast Hotel and Casino, The JW Marriott with the Rampart Casino, and Red Rock Station Hotel and Casino. All of these hotels have numerous dining options as well as entertainment.

Downtown Summerlin is nearby, as are Boca Park, Target, and Tivoli Village. There are 3 large grocery shopping centers and a Home Depot to the south.

Schools are nearby except children are bussed because of busy streets. Many parents love that Clark County School District rule. Clark County School District rules are that there will be a bus option if there is a busy street between the development and school.
