Zip Code 89135 has to be the prettiest zip code in Las Vegas. The zip covers the Summerlin South and the mountains behind it. However, it also covers the back side of those same mountains. If they build on those hills, they’ll be a line.

Zip Code 89135 borders Charleston on the north, Haulapai on the east, and Blue Diamond on the South. It shares the highway driving to Red Rock Canyon and everything inside the loop. That includes the north side of Blue Diamond, a campground, a fire station, and an inactive mine on the hill.

This is mostly protected land by the BLM. The gypsum mine was purchased by a long-time hotel and casino owner many years ago. He has applied for a zoning change to build houses and a building permit was turned down. I don’t think there has been a resent attempt for rezoning, however, I expect we will see one or 10 in the future.

Land south of Summerlin South was traded back to the Red Rock Conservation Area by the Howard Hughes Corporation. In exchange, they received the land west of the Summerlin Parkway and the 215 interchange currently selling homes in Summerlin North.

Homes for sale in 89135 zip code are in Summerlin South. They are upscale custom, semi-custom, and tract homes. There are luxury condominiums and townhouses.  Multiple private golf course and country club communities lined with custom homes are also part of the 89135 zip code.

Retirement is popular in the 89135 zip code. You’ll find the Siena 55+ retirement community is a large upscale golf community, Trilogy in Summerlin is a multistory townhouse community with elevators. The Toll Brothers Regency neighborhood is also a favorite 55+ neighborhood in the Summerlin South mountains. They are all popular retirement neighborhoods.
